Here's the lowdown on the fit. I'm 5'6" typically wear a size 10-12, 36DD. I ordered the Large. With the straps adjusted to their tightest setting, I am going braless! I have no problem zipping in, the fit is like a glove, no lumps, bumps or bulges. And the cutout, oh the cutout! If this is what's holding you back from purchasing this dress, don't let it. The opening sits well above the dreaded "tummy" that so many of us are always trying to hide, and it's not elasticized; so no worries about any squeezing, everything lays perfectly flat against the body. It's like magic.
I cannot stress enough how much I adore this dress! I am planning to wear it for a retro themed event in two weeks (12/6) in Philadelphia. I have put it on three times now just to twirl around the house! My 5 year old niece giggled with delight and asked me repeatedly to "do it again!" I may have created the most adorable pinup loving little monster. So not sorry!
I'm completing the look with the supercute knee length white petticoat to give some extra oomph, and some red heels. Already looking for excuses to wear it again!

Fear no more! This dress is as perfect a creation as every other PUG item. The cut out is very structurally supported so that sits just right on your upper stomach, and the angles of it are flattering on every woman I've seen in this dress. Personally I never bear my stomach, but I feel not only comfortable in this dress but also confident and sexy.
This print is especially cute and fun, and looks amazing styled with red. I love the full skirt, which appears to be the same as the Jenny skirts, and the bustline is cut to flatter both small, uh, apples, as well as more luscious melons, ha!
Overall I am so pleased I decided to take the plunge with this dress, and I'm sure you will too. If there are any women worried still about the cut out then I can suggest for this colourway particularly that you can wear a thin white best top beneath to fill on the open portion if need be on those less confident days and it will still like cute as pie because the white will tie in with the white bow bust detail and the white anchors. Ahoy pinups!

In fact I adore everything about this dress- except the cut-out. I'm not a very body-confident girl, and not a fit and toned one, so I do find that the bulge of skin, no matter how imaginary or unnoticeable hubby tells me it is, makes me very self conscious in a dress I would otherwise feel like a model in. The print, cut and length are divine, and if I can somehow devise a way of covering that gap up (or if PUG was to release the same style without the peep of skin) I'd be all over it. Of course, it's not the dress' fault, so for those who are happier in their skin than myself- it truly is amazing. I'm just not as ready to venture out from my comfort zone as I thought.
Construction, fit and quality is everything I've come to expect from PUG- incredible, robust fabric that feels great and looks great, well made and comfortable to move about in, this would be a firm favourite if I was a confident woman.
The S fits my 38-28-38 frame well and was chosen in the hope that it would be able to support the girls without a bra better than a looser fit, but I do wonder whether the M would allow me a little more confidence with the dreaded cut-out on the midsection.

I was worried about the mid-section and if it would be flattering when I sat down (I'm a size 12 and always have had a bit of a tummy and I never do tummy-exposure anything), but it is incredibly flattering still and covers any parts you may not want to flaunt off. I also love the straps - they criss-cross in the back and hold up the girls very well for support, so I easily went without a bra in this dress (and as someone with a 38-40 DD cup, that isn't something you'll catch me saying a lot, if ever). It "held up" (get it?) the entire day through, quite comfortably, too.
I kept getting compliments on this dress the entire day I wore it out, and I honestly can't wait until the next opportunity I get to wear it again! I can't wait until I make enough money to afford getting MORE POG dresses ASAP (haha).
