I had been debating these for along time because I was afraid they wouldn't look good on me due to my short waist an large chest. Many high-waisted things make me look all boobs. These pants are an exception, probably because of the wide legs, which seem to balance out my chest. I bought a medium and they fit perfect (my waist is about 28"). The crotch hangs a little low, but that just takes some getting used to. The pants are long on me, even with my long legs, and I had to have them brought up a few inches (which hurts a little with what they already cost me). But fashion is worth it, I suppose! They are very heavy and warm, so probably much better for cool climates or heavily air-conditioned offices. (Posted on 9/13/2016)

I was hesitant to buy these because of the price and style, but I am so glad I decided to give them a go! The quality is outstanding, making the price well worth it. I have rather big hips in proportion to my waist, and the waistline really accentuates that - these pants make me celebrate my hourglass shape, for sure. Thankfully, though, the full-cut legs hide my thighs, so it's a win all around. I ordered the L, and my 30" waist just fits into them. The length, as others have said, is very long: I'm 5'7" and wore these with 2.5" heels, and the hemline is so long that my toes just peek out at the bottom. I love these pants so much that I'm trying to decide which color to get next! (Posted on 8/5/2016)
New pants convert!Review by Kay

I'm really don't wear pants with the exception of jeans but after trying these Doris pants, I'm now a convert. These are beautifully made but felt a little heavy so it's perfect for the cooler months. The waist is snug as the elastic is quite firm but I stuck with my usual size small with my waist at 27-27.5". At 5'4" I need to hem at least 3" off - I'd be standing on tippy toes and the hem would be still hitting the floor. The lining is actually the perfect length for me. I feel like I need to buy another pair so that I have 2 different lengths: 1 to wear with heels, another with flats. Pockets are always a bonus, and I can see this being dressed up or down and as a great work staple. Highly recommend! (Posted on 7/17/2016)

I have been looking for a pair of swing trousers that could both fit a 30s and 40s aesthetic while still remaining modern. These are it! The fitted waist adds a nice contrast to the billowy legs. What I love most about them is the feel and quality of these pants. They are light enough for summer wear and heavy enough to get me through a Pacific Northwest Winter (with tights most likely).

As for fit, I am between a 27-28 waist and between 42-43 hips but I chose the large because my rib cage is rather wide and being 5'2, I knew these would come up pretty high and I hate the bulge above pant line. I do not regret my decision. It fits perfectly! Fitted, but not too tight.

The length is worth mentioning. At 5'2, I had to have these hemmed a few inches, but it is so worth it. I plan to live in these pants because they are so comfortable and they go with EVERYTHING! My advice is to wait until there's a sale ( I got these from the 4th of July sale) and spend the money you saved on them at a tailor who can alter them, if you can't alter them yourself.

Like every piece of PUG clothing, these are an investment piece. But remember, you are paying for outstanding quality, a gorgeous silhouette, and a closet staple that goes with everything. I know the price seems steep, but go ahead, buy them. You won't regret it! (Posted on 7/12/2016)

Have been eyeing these pants up since they went up on the website and finally bought them. The material itself feels very nice and thick. Put these babies on and fell in love. They were everything I dreamed of. They sit snuggly and high on your waist while leaving your hips to be free. They make me look a little more curvy which is fantastic. My waist is 27" and my hips are about 39-40" and the Medium fit me perfectly. The inseam is perfect for wearing a low heel. Im 5'10" and I might be able to get away with flats but I wouldnt want to. Oh and the pockets...swoon. Very comfortable and I feel like a million bucks in them. (Posted on 7/7/2016)

Give me all the colors! I don't like pants but these right here are a must. If new colors don't come out soon I will risk dyeing the cream pants and I plan to buy the brown pair as well.

I'm 5'4" with a 40 waist I got the 4X I think I will try the 3X next time only because I wont have to cut as much off I cut two inches off and put a three inch hem (in case I ever sell them didn't want to cut too much) (Posted on 6/23/2016)

As an avid skirt wearer I don't often wear trousers. The reason for this is I have a sit down job and full thighs this combo usually means fitted pants start to feel a little uncomfortable by the end of the day. Thankfully this is not even an issue with the Doris trousers. The super full leg means there is plenty of room for my thighs to not feel like they are being strangled (can you strangle a thigh?).
They are so comfy, they’re like tracksuit/sweat pants but only no one will be giving you dirty looks while you sashay by in them. They drape beautifully so whether you have curvy hips are more petite/slender hips, I promise you these pants will flow over your body beautifully. The waistband feels like a firm fit, my waist is 32" so I ordered my usual XL and they fit snug and nip my waist in. If you are on the larger end of your size chart you may want to size up for comfort but that's purely up to you. Now length wise, I know this is a deterrent for a lot of gals. I am about 5'3 so I did have to hem the outer layer (the lining was fine) about 2-3".
So if you're un-decided I suggest just taking the plunge and giving them a go, they are so comfy you won't regret it.

I've always been hesitant about ordering pants online, but these restored my faith! The quality is impeccable and they have good weight to them. I have a 32-33" waist and the XL fit perfectly! They were a bit too long, but I was able to get them hemmed no problem! I would highly recommend these! (Posted on 4/9/2016)

I finally caved and got these [expensive but] gorgeous trousers. I figured, if they were perfect, they'd be worth it. I'm here to say, they are, or at least close enough for me. I then even got a pair of the brown ones on the April Fool's Day sale!
I'm 5'8 1/2" and am 165 right now. 37/29/43 (with the hip measurement going across my very full thighs). My L has a 28" waist, and it's stiff enough that I almost sent these back for the XL. A kind PUG employee told me the L works for her 30" waist, so I tried them on again with a shirt (vs. just bare skin, which had created a fleshy "overhang"). Turns out L is indeed my size. They are super long, though, which is fixable, right? I will have to have them altered, which hurts, considering the price already (even with 4 1/2" heels). And I'll have the pockets removed or tacked down, as I seem to be the only gal around here who hates pockets/doesn't want wider hips! But the smooth stomach (thanks to the back zipper), the nipped in waist, and the no-grab, lined fabric make for a slender, spectacular me. Yeah, that's worth a lot! (They are heavy, though. These will not go past Spring here in the South.) (Posted on 4/5/2016)
