Typically, when I go for a wiggle silhouette, I use separates They're a little easier on my budget, and of course there is the benefit of mixing and matching. BUT I've been wanting to get my first OFFICIAL wiggle dress, which has been on my pinup essentials wish list for a while now. The classic Pinup Couture Erin dress was recently redesigned and posted in the coming soon section, where it caught my eye. Released in leopard (my favorite print) among other color ways and new versions. I put my name on the wait list as always, but when I noticed some of the other Erin dresses being released via Facebook, I kept a watch on the site everyday anyway. Just to be SURE I didn't miss it. As for fit, the site recommends sizing down if you are in between sizes, which I am. Between a 2X and a 3X. BUT, thinking back on an experience I had years ago trying on and returning the Natalie dress in 2X, I decided not to do that. My measurements are 43/38/50, and I had a feeling the 3X would be my best bet, but was still nervous about it being too big in the bust. Ordered this on Oct. 29th and received it on Nov. 2nd :) Not bad shipping time at all! The day it arrived, I tried it on right away and the bust did of course end up being too big. I opted to alter the area (that very day), instead of sending it back for an exchange or refund. I wanted it, and no way was I sending it back! Despite the extra steps needed to get a better fit up top, I'm glad I went with the 3X. Had I gone down a size, the bust would have been perfect but the fit everywhere else would have been too snug and too short for my liking. Which, happened to be the issues with the Natalie dress I mentioned above. The 3X gives me the fit I was looking for around my hips and waist (still fitted, but comfortable), and I love the length, which gos past my knees by about 2 inches. For reference I'm 5 feet 6 1/2 inches tall. The bengaline fabric feels AMAZING against the skin, as it always has with the bengaline skirts I've ordered from PUG on the past. Could just be my imagination, but the latest run actually feels even smoother :) Glad I had the funds put aside to get this one right away!
